3D Visualization Technology: Seeing a World of Opportunity

When I first heard about 3d technologies and how it was the buzzword that was going to change a lot across industries, I was still doing my first year at an architectural school. As I progressed in my course, I began realising that various fields, some interconnected such as architecture and construction and some as diverse as advertising, engineering and even medical were all rooting for the 3d visualizing technology to incorporate it into their design, development, product process and even in engaging students in schools and staff in business organizations.

This provided me with an opportunity to begin a small-scale research on this subject. I remember distinctly discussing it with my seniors and teachers at the school and telling them that it was a microcosm approach to what I thought was only a fad or something temporary.

In all humility, I never even realized that technology would take such big leaps in such a short span of time!

The study and research that I undertook took me through various stages of amazement to enlightenment. A few weeks ago, I bumped int ta website called https://3drenderinglab.com/ and I remember living again the moments of twenty years ago.

Why use visualizing tools?

Across the industries, leaders use visualization tools and aids for the continuous new application that it is capable of and also because of it directly contributors to more efficiency in conceptualizing and designing of products and services and finally in the production and delivery of such products and services.

Is the process easy?

The process may look complicated but it is not!

It only seems to be. On the most basic level, it is a happy marriage between the software application and state of art visualization tools. Some of the tools and aids are only an improvement on tools that have traditionally been taught and used such as

  • Computer Aided Design (CAD)\
  • Infrared imaging
  • Animation software and
  • Photo imaging and capturing.
