Student Work - GIS Maps

Grade Eight students explored stories and the geosciences through field trips on the land and rivers near Fairbanks together with local elders, geologists and educators. The students documented their work with GPS, GIS, digital photography, maps and reports to the community. Students in the first three groups were from the Effie Kokrine Charter School, Howard Luke Campus in Fairbanks.

These students can be very proud of what they accomplished in such a short time!

( Each map comes in two versions; the first uploads more quickly over slower internet connections and the second version shows more detail.)
