Students finding the path

As a secondary student, you can find your way to geoscience and geospatial careers if you:

-- Make good connections in your community and to employers
-- Show people what you can do
-- Work hard to find the right position

In Alaska, if you go fishing for a job without understanding how to do it, you won't catch much. But if you spend time learning from experts, gain new skills, and practice good values, you can bring home the big catch of salmon, cod, crabs, herring or whatever you are after.***

Find answers to questions like, "How much money can I make?" or "How can MapTEACH help?"

*** Just like pursuing a career, harvesting fish is a challenging business. A bountiful catch does not come easily. You can learn about the extensive knowledge and sophisticated skills it takes to fish in Alaska from the Marshall Survival Skills Curriculum in Sharing Our Pathways Vol. 3, Issue 2.
